Diane Armstrong – At Large

Diane Armstrong was born in Gallichan, Abitibi-Temiscamingue, Quebec. In a family of seven children, she was the fifth one. The family business was building houses Nordic Mobile Home (les Maisons Mobiles Nordic).
Diane studied in Business Administration at the Collège de l’Abitibi-Temiscamingue in Rouyn-Noranda. She moved to Thunder Bay in 1991 where she got married. She also has two great sons who are now 33 and 37.
Diane studied Business (this time in English) at Ontario Business College in 1993. In 1995-1998, she took refreshers to improve her English at Confederation College together with a Life Skills course. Diane also took Level 1 in H&R Block Income Tax Preparation and many evening classes in investment such as “Be your own broker”. Diane is a dedicated individual constantly trying to improve herself.
Diane is running because of her passion for connecting with people and interest in helping her community members. Diane plans to bring her knowledge from her education into her political endeavours. She is committed to make Thunder Bay a better place to live and raise a family.
Her main points of interest are the development of new facilities, creating unity within the community, job creation, and crime prevention.
