Barry has lived and worked in the community for over 26 years and truly calls Thunder Bay home. He is currently a Director on the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Foundation and the Ontario Chamber of Commerce and has worked in business management, marketing and communications. He has served on numerous local boards, charitable committees and organizations.
One of Barry’s key strengths is bringing people together to get things done. He has a keen desire to make a difference in our community and has often been called to serve for initiatives such as: Thunder Bay Community Auditorium; Northwestern Ontario Associated Chambers of Commerce; and Minister of Northern Development & Mines’ Northern Advisory Committee.
Best known in Thunder Bay as the founder of the popular Blues Festival, Barry has a love for all music. Formerly an avid runner he also founded the Miles with the Giant Marathon in 2010. These two events bring so much life to Thunder Bay!
As a father of two, Barry strongly believes in creating a healthy community that is safe and full of opportunity for future generations. Recently retired, Barry is committed to being a full time City Councillor for the people of Thunder Bay.
